Well, being a new young driver and a speedy one too, I always find myself judging others by their car choices as I pass them by, we all know BMW drivers are douchebags, it's a universal truth, but what about other cars? Could other cars give away your personality? And, second, what do you think my car, a Daewoo Leganza, says about me?

BMW driver here: Not a douchebag, probably.

I don't know where do you live, but I never saw a good driver in a BMW here, people just buy them for the image. I think that for every guy who enjoys driving it, there are 100 douchebags.

I've only been a douchebag ONCE behind the wheel, and it wasn't in my BMW.

Audis are BMW wannabes here, people buy a 20 year old Audi because it has FWD. They can't even drive a RWD car. Also, they can improvise a lot. I saw an Audi A6 with Peugeot 406 taillights...

I would kill for a RWD car. I tried to lose traction, but understeer is really dull...

Daewoo Leganza? either you were on a budget or you inherited the car. That's about all I can tell.

inherited, indeed. But I always wondered how others view these cars. Also, it's a great car, really happy with it, it's more comfortable than my father's Passat, even if it's 10 years older.

Im in disbelief, now i roll in an f150, but why do people have to generalize. I mean, why 100% bmw drivers are douche. No i think this is dumb, and unfair, no judment should be done to a person judging by which car he drives. Exeption is the Prius. Fuck the Prius

I do not have seizures. Maybe you feel insecure with your ride. And thats why you ask for peoples aproval. Ive never seen one before, but i dont know what i would say about your car to judge your personality. It has 0 things in common.

I feel like people try to generalize too specifically with cars and personalities. I live in socal and the owner of a BMW, Audi or Porsche is not really definable to where one is an ass the other a douche and the last a true jalop. Its the kind of cars people buy that matters, a bottom end, but brand new BMW is likely an ass tryin to look bitchen for everyone, but the owner of a used M3 could be a genuinely awesome guy. As you own a cheap, but wierd (thats good), econobox, I'd say yeah you either inherited it or got it very cheaply. If it were the latter that would be good as it meant you didn't revert to type like everyone else and buy a corolla or civipassacobalcamrablalalalbla.
I drive one of two cars, an 85 4Runner thats mostly stock and nice, and a 79 Volvo 242gt (inherited as well); which has modified suspension, strait pipes, bad tires and makes angry dirty noises. hahaha What does that say about me?

Saying all BMW drivers are douchebags is like saying all lifted truck drivers are bros that never use their trucks like trucks. It just isn't true.
I know nice BMW drivers, and I know people who use their lifted trucks for work purposes and beat the hell out of it, my dad included.

A Daewoo? I remember that company. Haven't seen one in forever! A lot of owners got shafted when they went bankrupt. Parts became too hard to find and expensive.

oh my God, a modified Volvo, if you were to pass by me I would say you ruined a classic! But in the 4Runner, those things last forever.

Being an avid car enthusiast and one that like to figure people out, you would think that I would have some insight on people just by what they drive. But, I don't. I found out that it's a terrible thing to do and I'm almost always wrong. I myself have two vehicles. The 1971 2002 and a 1997 Dodge Caravan. Two very different vehicles and the van doesn't tell you that much about me. Yes, I use it for work (home improvements), but I inherited it and I'll take what I can get. I don't judge people on their cars because I don't know their financial situation, nor their value of cars. I've seen non-automotive people in M3s and plenty of boy racer ricers. It's also not even a good determinant of wealth. I have a friend who's worth millions. He has a Ferrari TR, C6 zo6, 56 Fairlane, a few other toys, and three Buick Roadmaster wagons. Yah, seeing him driving a Roadmaster is a bad way to see him around town and you won't know anything about him.
Also, just yesterday I saw a BMW X5. I was at a a stop light with it so I had time to look at it. I was shocked when I saw a bimmerworld sticker and a SCCA sticker. On an X5? The guy had two kids in the car. As he pulls off the plate reads TRK TOY. Who knew? If he was passing you on the highway you'd call him a BMW asshole, but if you actually knew the guy, or had a look around his car, you might very well be good friends.
All I'm trying to say is, don't judge people by their car. It usually doesn't answer any questions.

Daewoo Leganza: You want a BMW, and envy those who can afford them to the point of being bitter towards them.
Just kidding, but despite the fact that lots of BMW drivers can be a little douchey, plenty of them, especially the enthusiasts, aren't.
And as far as what a Daewoo Leganza says about you, I'm going to pass. It doesn't say much of anything, really. Other than I wouldn't guess you cared much about cars.

Last I checked, RWD cars operate with the same controls as FWD cars, and unless you are driving in really bad conditions, they handle very similar around town.

I think the Audi drivers have almost taken over the douche category here. I mean, I still see a few BMW drivers behaving badly, but anymore if I'm cut off in traffic or being tailgated, 9 out of 10 times it's an Audi. The other 1 time is usually a Prius.

I always liked the styling of the Leganza. That and the rare (in the US) 5-door Nubira that they sold for only 1 or 2 model years.
True story, whenever I see one of these Maseratis:
I think "Daewoo Leganza coupe".

Where I am, the BMW drivers are pretty much douches. Plus I'm yet to see a BMW with the turn signal on. Audi drivers on the other hand, just seem to tailgate.
(I drive an Audi and NO I don't tailgate)

To be fair the stock suspension was completely shot, and they're just IPD springs too, not that low at all. Its surprisingly composed in the canyons so I'm happy. I think its funny how rich people around here give me dirty looks in the volvo, so middle finger sky high and solid axle hopping whenever I want! ...except right now because Kjet doesn't play fair all the time....

I'm WAY more of a douchebag in my Jeep than in my BMW.
Also, where I life Benz drivers are the douches. And I mean, like, hardcore douches.
